Description summary. Applicants need to be highly self-motivated and dynamic with skills in web content management, writing and editing for the web, and in graphic design, site management, and e-publishing.

The selected candidate will work with other members of the staff to ensure daily updates to our web platforms. In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading site content, the candidate will also closely work with web developers to ensure a fluid web user experience. The candidate will also provide support to our social media web presence and help design article layout for e-publishing. Additional requirements include excellent communication and organizational skills, integrating well within a team, great attention to details, and ability to work under tight deadlines in an international environment.

Detailed description. The selected candidate will:

  • manage web presence contents; previous experience working with content management system (CMS) is required.

  • work with a cross-departmental team while maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout the web platforms

  • copyedit and proofread web contents, including contents from freelancers, copy editors, and society members and visitors

  • input and manage our social media feeds and follower base comments and tweets

  • manage article layout and composition and create PDF or other e-publishing formats

  • track and report on all site metrics

  • work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • have Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills

  • have a high command of the English language, particularly written English

  • have a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or e-publishing, a minor (second degree) in English or related field would be a plus

  • bring further passion, energy, and integrity to our group
