If you previously applied for this position your application is under consideration and it is not necessary to reapply. \nThe Mouneimne Lab is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate who will investigate mechanical memory in breast cancer progression\, with an emphasis on epigenetic changes driven by the mechanical microenvironment of primary breast tumors. The successful applicant(s) will undertake a discovery approach to identify novel regulators of non-genetically heritable changes induced by biophysical stimuli in breast tissue. \nCellular Medicine at the University of Arizona is extremely inclusive. For more information about working at the University of Arizona and relocation services\, please click here. \nDuties & Responsibilities \n\nExpand patient-derived xenograft mouse colonies.\n\n\nPerform live-cell microscopy.\n\n\nCoordinate with bioinformatics colleagues to analyze RNA-Seq data.\n\n\nCloning\, RT-qPCR\, Western blotting.\n\n\nPrepare publications.\n\n\nPrepare grant applications.\n\nKnowledge\, Skills\, & Abilities \n\nStrong background in translational research.\n\n\nAbility to work with mice.\n\n\nFamiliarity with bioinformatic tools and resources.\n\n\nDemonstrated ability to coordinate with an interdisciplinary team of collaborators.\n\n\nExcellent communication skills\, both oral and written.\n\n\nSome experience with coding a plus.\n\nMinimum Qualifications \n\nPhD degree in cancer biology\, molecular biology or a closely related field.
