DESCRIPTION:Focus: Pediatric liver cancer research with an emphasis on mechanisms of invasive disease and development of novel models \n\n\nJob Duties\n\nA position is available for a full time postdoctoral fellow to pursue studies on the molecular pathogenesis of liver cancer\, including primarily hepatocellular carcinoma. In particular\, this position will focus on the generation of novel cell line and animal models\, the study of invasive disease and circulating tumor cells\, and the study of novel pre-clinical therapeutics in the regulation of cancer pathogenesis\, invasion\, and metastasis. \n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nEducation: Ph.D in Basic Science\, Health Science\, or a related field. \nExperience: None required. \n\n\n\nSkills:\n\n\nExperience in in vivo tumor models\, tissue culture\, molecular cloning\, quantitative RT-PCR (qPCR)\, immunoblotting\, immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence\, kinase and phosphatase assays\, chromatin immunoprecipitation\, cell cycle analysis\, flow cytometry\, apoptosis assays\, microscopy\, and knowledge/experience with genomic\, transcriptomic\, and epigenetic profiling of tumors.\nExperience with flow cytometry and bioinformatics and sequencing analyses is a plus.\nMust be a motivated team player in our cooperative/collaborative laboratory environment with a strong ability to develop and troubleshoot new experiments.\n\n\n\n\n
