SUMMARY:Scientist II - Epigenetics
DESCRIPTION:We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our Epigenetics Center of Excellence. Reporting to the Senior Director / Epigenetic Drug Discovery Head\, this position will be responsible for the design\, plan and execution of biological studies for identifying new targets and will support drug discovery projects from target identification to nomination of development candidates. The Scientist II will be expected to work closely with other functions such as Bioinformatics\, Biochemistry\, Chemistry and Pharmacology to coordinate the progress of projects. With an emphasis in Oncology\, the scope of work will cover also Immuno-Oncology\, Inflammation and Neurodegenerative diseases. It will involve collaborative work with academic centers and business partners as well.  \nKnowledge/Skills/Experience Required :\nPhD in biology\, solid understanding in Epigenetics and at least 4 years of productive research experience in epigenetics\, as evidenced by an excellent publication record. \nThe successful candidate will have a strong foundation in transcription regulation in cancer. \nExperience in epigenetic profiling studies (DNA methylation\, RNA-sequencing\, ChIP-sequencing and ATAC-sequencing) and strong knowledge in enhancer-mediated regulation of the genome. \nExperience in target validation\, functional and biomarker cell-based assay development. \nExpertise in cancer stem cell is highly desired \nExperience in immunology is a plus \nProficient in cell biology including shRNA and CRISPR technologies \nHighly motivated\, innovative and strong team player. Excellent time management and organizational skills. \nStrong ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. \nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability for creative thinking and problem solving.
