SUMMARY:Postdoctoral Research Scientist
DESCRIPTION:Postdoctoral position is available in the NIH-funded laboratory of Dr. Carrie Shawber at Columbia University Medical Center in New York\, NY. Seeking highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join a collaborative research team to understand lymphatic vascular development\, and the genetic causes of human lymphatic disorders and congenital anomalies. The research involves recombinant DNA work\, protein evaluation\, use of viral vectors\, tissue culture\, and mouse models. The postdoctoral scientist will work independently under the mentorship of Dr. Shawber\, and will lead in the analysis\, presentation and publication of research. Those with a background in molecular biology\, vascular biology\, and/or genetics are encouraged to apply. Experience using transgenic mouse models is preferred.   \nExperience working in a basic research lab and conditional transgenic mouse models. Strong knowledge of current concepts of molecular and vascular biology. \nExpertise in both vascular and molecular biology preferred.
