SUMMARY:Post-Doctoral Fellow - Biomedical Sciences
DESCRIPTION:Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Tulin.  The position is planned for at least three years\, with a possibility of renewal.  The successful applicants will conduct research on epigenetic regulation of development and cancer.  The primary research focus of Dr. Tulin’s lab is on fundamentals of chromatin regulation and RNA fate during normal development and in carcinogenesis\, as well as on translating the findings of fundamental biology for clinical applications in oncology.  Projects in Dr. Tulin’s lab cover the molecular mechanisms of chromatin remodeling and regulation of gene expression and employ in vitro assays as well as human cells\, mouse and Drosophila model organisms. \nApplicants for the post-doctoral position should have a Ph.D. in molecular biology\, molecular genetics\, biochemistry\, or a related field and 0 to 3 years of post-doctoral research experience.  Experience in genetics\, confocal microscopy\, protein purification\, live-cell imaging\, and genomics / proteomics would be helpful.  The choice of the project will be discussed with the candidate during the interview.  We will start reviewing the application immediately until the position is filled.  Applicants for the technician position are required to have B.S. or M.S. in natural sciences. \nTo apply\, please send or e-mail a letter of interest specifying your career goals\, CV\, and names of 3 referees to:\n \nBiomedical Sciences Search Committee\nC/O Jennifer Hershey\n1301 N Columbia Road\nStop 9037 Suite W315\nGrand Forks\, ND 58202-9037 \nOr via email to jennifer.hershey@med.und.edu.
