SUMMARY:Post-Doc Fellow
DESCRIPTION:Under the direction of Principal Investigator\, perform research consisting of a variety of complex analytical and technical laboratory techniques and/or direct a research technician in the performance of research activity. Projects involve whole genome screening using cutting edge technology for new cancer drivers\, evaluation of new cancer therapy targets\, epigenetics\, patient-derived cancer cell lines\, PDXs. Work may include experiments in mouse models. Requires the application of complex methods and procedures where independent judgment is normally required. \nPerform research in the laboratory of a principal investigator. \nDevelop and implement a variety of complex\, analytical and technical laboratory procedures. \nPresent findings of ongoing research at lab meetings\, professional meetings\, and conferences. \nApply to various sponsoring agencies for fellowships that are related to the research project. \nPublish the results of their research.  \nPh.D. degree in cancer biology\, cell biology\, biochemistry\, pharmacology\, or a closely related field. Must have first author publication(s) in reputable journals from their terminal degree. Proficiency in English scientific writing. Excellent communication skills. Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team. Prior expertise with in vitro and/or in vivo cancer models\, flow cytometry\, immunofluorescence\, qPCR\,cell culture\, immunoblotting\, and molecular cloning.
