DESCRIPTION:The laboratory research focuses on understanding the role of various enzymes involved in human malignancies\, and development of anti-cancer drugs. The Research Professional 1 requires the ability to perform tasks with supervision. Collaborations with other laboratories and investigators within the Section and Department are routine. \nEssential Functions: \n1. 80% — Performing laboratory techniques; must have an experience of RNA-based TCR sequencing of cancer tissues\, isolation of tumor infiltrating T cells (TILs)\, and culture of TILs\n 2. 20% — Collate and analyze data. Maintain accurate\, up-to-date and well-documented records of procedures performed and data generated. Summarize results and assist in interpreting findings including analysis of DNA sequencing.   \nA doctoral degree in Cancer Biology\, Immunology\, Molecular Genetics\, Cell Biology\, Medical Technology\, Biochemistry or related discipline is required.   \n5 years of experience for cancer genetics and biology with some publications is required. Previous cell culture and clinical laboratory experience is essential. Excellent organizational\, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Experiences in urological cancers are preferable.   \nAdvanced knowledge in relevant scientific field required.\nAdvanced knowledge of research techniques or methods required.\nKnowledge of regulatory policies and procedures required.\nAnalytical skills required.\nProblem-solving skills required.\nAttention to detail required.\nOrganizational skills required.\nVerbal and written communication skills required.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nrequired.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office required.
