SUMMARY:Postdoctoral Fellow
DESCRIPTION:Three postdoctoral positions are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Suyun Huang in the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics and the VCU Institute of Molecular Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University\, School of Medicine. The ongoing studies in the laboratory focus on identification and functional validation of molecular determinants of glioblastoma and brain metastasis (from breast cancer). The research is fully funded by National Institutes of Health grants. Please refer to our recent publications for more information (Cancer Cell 2017\, Nature Cell Biology 2016\, Nature Communications 2016\, The Journal of Clinical Investigation 2014\, EMBO J. 2016\, & Cancer Cell 2011). \n\n\n\nRequired Qualifications\nDr. Huang’s laboratory is seeking highly qualified\, dedicated individuals with a commitment to research excellence. Candidates must have Ph.D. or M.D. degrees and with a solid publication record\, including first-authored publication(s) in respected journal. The candidate must also have strong organizational\, written\, and verbal communication skills in English. \n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nCandidates are preferred with a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry\, molecular biology and molecular genetics and with experience in the areas of protein modification\, transcriptional control\, protein-protein interaction\, epigenetics and animal modeling.

SUMMARY:Postdoctoral Fellow
DESCRIPTION:Rutgers\, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Post Doc Fellow for the Cancer Pharmacology Department at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. \nThe primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Appointee position is to conduct research investigation into the characterization of oncogenic and tumor suppressor enhancer regions\, as well as on the dissection of the interplay between metabolism and epigenetics in T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL) using mouse models under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The Post Doc Fellow will perform research\, experiments\, and laboratory techniques of a specialized nature under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator. \nAmong the key duties of this position are the following:\n• Conducts research experiments to understand the role and mechanisms of SOD1 in oxidative stress resistance and cancer cell survival as well as the interplay between metabolism and redox regulation to unveil new therapeutic strategies. \n• Prepares written reports of the research experiments. \n• Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted. \n• Gives oral presentations of the research. \n• Performs other related duties as assigned.
