About the Location
Atlanta, the capital of and the most populous city in Georgia, is a cultural and economic center of the state and the ninth largest metropolitan area in the United States. The city is the primary transportation hub of the Southeastern United States, via highway, railroad, and air, with Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport being the world’s busiest airport since 1998. Atlanta is home to nationally renowned private colleges and universities, most notably Emory University, a leading liberal arts and research institution that ranks among the top 20 schools in the United States. Emory University – home to Winship Cancer Institute – also operates Emory Healthcare, the largest health care system in Georgia.
