Research Associate
October 17, 2018 - November 18, 2018
We are seeking a Research Associate to study transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of gene expression in breast cancer. The Zhang laboratory currently focuses on elucidating molecular mechanisms of gene- and tissue- specific transcriptional cofactors in breast cancer [Mol Cell 19:89-100, PNAS 107: 6765, JBC 286:17746, EMBO J. 30:2405, Cancer Research 72:5625, ACS Nano 11(1):335, Cancer Research 78(2):422]. We are using a combination of biochemical, molecular, genomic (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq) and mouse genetic (conditional knockout, mutant knockin and overexpression) approaches. We are also currently developing RNA-based nano-therapeutics to target these cofactors to overcome therapeutic resistance of human breast cancer.
Minimum Qualificaitons:Â Bachelor degree in a profession/field or equivalent level of knowledge
Preferred Qualifications: PhD and/or MD degree with research experience in biochemistry, molecular cellular biology or a related field. Prior experience with animal studies, immunology, RNA-seq/ChIP-seq analyses or nanotechnology is a plus.
