We are seeking a highly creative, self-motivated, and collaborative investigator to join the Cancer Therapeutics department at GNF. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cancer biology and will be adept in cell biology, biochemistry, and/or drug discovery approaches. Experience in a matrixed, fast-paced industry environment and/or experience with cutting-edge discovery technologies, such as ELISA/MSD, Western/Wes/protein analyses, enzymatic assays, PCR approaches, CRISPR, bioinformatics, epigenetics, phenotypic screening, and ex vivo tumor/tissue analyses, is highly desirable. Also highly desirable is experience working with different therapeutic modalities including small molecules as well as biologics including antibodies, peptides, and/or drug conjugates. The successful candidate will work independently and in collaboration with multifunctional teams to design and execute experiments, analyze and present data, and propose novel targets and approaches, with focus and expertise in in vitro biology.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and analyze in vitro and ex vivo biology experiments to discover and validate new targets and therapeutics for cancer
  • Serve as the biology lead on drug discovery and platform development projects
  • Present project data and plans to stakeholders within GNF and the broader NIBR/Novartis organization
  • May supervise BS-/MS-level associates
