Post Doctoral Fellow

Postdoctoral fellow position supported by NIH and DoD is available to elucidate the role of epigenetic modifications in prostate and breast cancer initiation/progression, utilizing both in vitro and in vivo model systems. The candidate should have experience in molecular biology, cell culture, imaging, and mouse xenograft. The position will continue to focus on developing the skills necessary to obtain grants and scientific publications and become an independent Investigator.
Specific Responsibilities:
- To conduct experiments including molecular biology, cell culture, imaging, and mouse xenograft.
- To develop new techs to obtain grants and publications
- To help write grants and compete for funding
- To help write and contribute to publications resulting from research done in the lab
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD and/or MD/PhD
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)
- Evidence of first author peer-reviewed publications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior molecular and/or cancer biology experience and evidence of project development
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
- Experienced in Animal work/or drug treatment/or surgery
- Excellent communication and writing skills
