Professor – Dermatology

The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate, Full, and/or Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Responsibilities include conducting a research program in an area relevant to skin and/or skin disease. Candidates with MD degree may have some patient care responsibilities. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and research.
The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Dermatology and Skin Biology, and is expected to have several years of postdoctoral research experience. Applicants must have an outstanding record of training and publications. Current research interests in the Department include: skin and hair follicle stem cells; skin regenerative biology and wound healing; epigenetic regulation of skin development and homeostasis; signaling and transcriptional regulation of skin and hair follicle development; epidermal differentiation, adhesion and signal transduction; development of three-dimensional human tissue models to study mechanisms governing epithelial homeostasis and progression to invasive carcinoma; mouse models of skin cancer; microRNA functions in the skin; the skin microbiome; basic studies of autoimmune blistering and rheumatologic diseases of skin, impetigo and staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome; basic pathophysiologic and immunologic studies of cutaneous T cell lymphoma; dermatoepidemiology; and clinical trials research.
