The Drapkin laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) is seeking to expand its work on tumor development and progression, cancer genomics and epigenetics, and lineage dependencies. The goals of the lab are to translate important discoveries into clinically useful diagnostic and therapeutic tools. Several postdoctoral positions are immediately available for outstanding candidates. 

We seek candidates with a PhD who have a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and basic computational biology.  Preference for candidates with experience in developing and characterizing genetically engineered mouse models will be given. The successful candidate must be well organized and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. The postdoc should be fluent in English, possess excellent writing skills, be able to independently analyze experimental results, and think creatively. A record of prior publications is required. We interested in highly motivated and talented scientists with a strong work ethic who are committed to solving important questions in cancer biology and are willing to stay at least 4-5 years.  The successful candidate will have completed their graduate degree in or after 2016, and be a US citizens or permanent residents.

Dr. Drapkin is the Director of the Penn Ovarian Cancer Research Center (OCRC). Established in 2007, the OCRC serves as a catalyst to promote comprehensive and interdisciplinary research on ovarian cancer. Penn is the oldest and one of the finest medical schools in the United States.
