Postdoctoral Fellow

One year assignment which can be renewed on an annual basis up to a total of five years. Previous time in a postdoctoral fellow position (whether paid or unpaid) at the University or at any other university counts towards this time limitation (unless the area or discipline changes). Final candidate will need to provide official PhD degree verification documents from the granting institution.

Additional Information
Perform research in the lab and program of Dr. Song (Stephen) Yi, Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor of Oncology at the LIVESTRONG Cancer Institutes.
Use systems and computational biology, bioinformatics, and proteomics approaches to identify genetic and epigenetic biomarkers, and synthetic lethal mechanisms underlying cancer and immunity for personalized medicine. Perform bioinformatics data analyses and integrative mechanistic studies in a collaborative environment. Perform projects utilizing functional data from cell lines, Patient Derived Xenograft (PDX) models and cancer patients. Perform data analysis include genomics, proteomics, network biology, epigenetics and next-generation sequencing. Publish manuscripts, write and edit grants, progress reports. Participate in the design of a project. Lead a research effort in the direction set forth by the PI and the specific project.
Other related functions as assigned.
Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, systems and computational biology, cancer biology, immunology, or relevant field within the last three years.
