The Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology at the University of Virginia seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to conduct cancer research in the laboratory of Dr. Kwon Park. The candidate will join the efforts to characterize key driver of lung cancer development using multidisciplinary approaches ranging from genetically engineered mouse models to functional genetics. Specifically, the candidate will determine role of novel tumor suppressors that the laboratory recently identified. The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. by start date and with a strong background in biochemistry and/or molecular and cell biology. Experience in epigenetics, cancer metabolism, and/or bioinformatics is preferred.
