Three postdoctoral positions are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Suyun Huang in the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics and the VCU Institute of Molecular Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine. The ongoing studies in the laboratory focus on identification and functional validation of molecular determinants of glioblastoma and brain metastasis (from breast cancer). The research is fully funded by National Institutes of Health grants. Required Qualifications

Dr. Huang’s laboratory is seeking highly qualified, dedicated individuals with a commitment to research excellence. Candidates must have Ph.D. or M.D. degrees and with a solid publication record, including first-authored publication(s) in respected journal. The candidate must also have strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates are preferred with a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, molecular biology and molecular genetics and with experience in the areas of protein modification, transcriptional control, protein-protein interaction, epigenetics and animal modeling.
