Dr. Sosa’s lab seeks applications from qualified postdoctoral research fellows.

The position is offered to study tumor dormancy of minimal residual disease. The research will require epigenetic and stem cell knowledge as well as experience in cancer metastasis and animal models (Nature Communications 30;6:6170, Nature Reviews Cancer 14(9):611-22, PLoS One 2012;7(1):e29974, Molecular and Cellular Oncology 14;3(1):e1029062, Nature DOI:10.1038/nature20609).

The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D., M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees with a very serious background in cancer, epigenetics, pluripotency programs and molecular biology and evident by peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals. It is essential that candidates are self-motivated and career-oriented. The candidates should be familiar with some of the following techniques: multi-color flow cytometry, cell isolation from solid organs, ChIP-PCR, PLA assays, in-vitro culture of tumor cell lines, Western Blotting, Confocal Microscopy, RT-PCR and animal handling. The research environment at Mount Sinai is outstanding.

Interested candidates should forward their cover letter summarizing past experience, research interests and career goals, up to three representative publications, and CV including the names and contact information of three references to Dr. Soledad Sosa, soledad.sosa@mssm.edu
