Research Assistant – Cancer Biology

The Department of Cancer Biology at University of Cincinnati is seeking a self-motivated individual to assist the research on transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of gene expression in breast cancer and further development of RNA-based nano-theraputics for treatments. Part of the responsibility is to assist the daily running of the laboratory. This includes but not limited to: ordering and organizing laboratory supplies and records, assisting experiments involving basic biochemical, molecular and animal experiments by following the protocols. Previous experience and knowledge with protein and RNA purification, immunostaining and mouse colony management and surgery are advantageous. Opportunity for independent research is also available depending on experience and interest.
Position Qualification: The position requires a minimum BS (preferred MS) degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and other Biological Sciences, or in a related field with experience and strong interest in laboratory research.
Ideal Qualifications: Prior experience with laboratory research is a plus.
