My name is Petra Haumer, I’m 26 years old and I’m from Austria. I grew up in a small village on the Czech border before moving to Vienna. I now study Czech and Russian and aim to become a teacher for these two languages. I also work in an communication agency and my responsibilities include recruiting, project management and execution, concept development, and other administrative tasks. We work together with numerous national and international companies and implement their marketing concepts.

Languages and traveling ​​are my passion, which led me to teach German as a foreign language in different countries (Czech Republic, Morocco, Spain). In addition to Czech, English, German, and Russian, I also speak Spanish and have a basic knowledge of various other Slavic languages, Arabic, and the Moroccan dialect.

I am most excited about the No to Cancer initiative, particularly as I have since December 2017 the privilege to be in charge of the Czech page. This project is very close to my heart because I – unfortunately like so many – have lost a loved one too early to cancer.
