JOB OVERVIEW
Under direct supervision and with training provided, the Staff Research Associate I (SRA I) will provide research assistance for the Munster Laboratory in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine. The research program in the Munster laboratory focuses on the epigenetic modulation of therapy resistance, with a focus on improving treatments for breast and other cancers.

• BA/BS degree with a degree in Biochemistry or related science and knowledge of, or experience with, the basic techniques or methods required by the position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Exposure to conducting rodent animal research including handling, drug delivery, tumor/weight measurements, euthanasia, and tissue harvesting. Must be willing to work with both mouse and rat models
• Ability to handle and prioritize responsibilities pertaining to multiple projects
• Ability to draft routine reports and keep accurate records of work performed
• Strong inclination to learn and apply new techniques
• Ability to analyze data in spreadsheets, data entry into databases, database management, advanced computer skills
