The Cancer Epigenetics Society officially appoints Dr. Jonathan D. Licht, Editor at Cancer Epigenetics (CE) journal series. Dr. Licht is Director of University of Florida Health Cancer Center (Gainesville, FL, USA), and holds the Marshall E. Rinker Sr. Foundation and David B and Leighan R. Rinker Chair. Before that, Dr. Licht was Chief of Hematology/Oncology and Associate Director of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Licht is also a Dana-Farber SPORE in myeloma Investigator and co-leader of an NCI-funded Chicago Physical Sciences Oncology Center. Dr. Licht is also a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Executive Committee, will serve as Co-director of the 2017 ASH/EHA Translational Research Training program, and is an Officer of the Cancer Epigenetics Society. Dr. Licht is an expert of histone methyltransferases and histone/lysine demethylases, particularly in the context of lymphoid and myeloid transformation and treatment. Dr. Licht has published some 170 research articles, reviews and book chapters, including in leading journals such as Cancer Cell, Cell, Molecular Cell, Nature, Nature Genetics, Nature Medicine, New England Journal of Medicine, and P.N.A.S USA. Dr. Licht is also Editor at leading cancer journals including Cancer Cell, Clinical Cancer Research, and Oncogene, and thus brings to CE a longstanding experience of high standards of editorial rigor.
